My Top 5 Songs Of July

1. Bipolar Sunshine – Daydreamer (Gryffin Remix)

My absolute favorite for July comes straight out of Manchester from the legendary Bipolar Sunshine who had his latest release “Daydreamer” remixed by Gryffin. The result, in my opinion, is even better than the original mix and is a great and relaxed electronic tune perfect for summerly party nights and outdoor dancing. Get caught by a mix of souly vocals, a laid back house beat with epic keys and magic build-ups that will send you straight to dance floor wonderland.

2. RÜFÜS – Say A Prayer For Me

My second pick comes from Sydney’s probably hottest music export at the moment, RÜFÜS. “Say a Prayer For Me is from these legends’ latest record which is most definitely one of my favorite records of 2016. Loose yourself in relaxed, tropical house music spiced up with a lot of Aussie awesomeness. As soon as you turn up this song, there’s simply no way around feeling the holiday vibes. The perfect choice for a chilled afternoon at the pool but also good for partying.

3. Ruca – Play Bad (Feat. Poupie)

Song number three comes from the French Funk/Dance crew Ruca. With “Play Bad” these two guys put out an absolute summer hit which will most likely be their major break through. A funky guitar line meets an extremely danceable beat and is which is topped off with the super sexy voice of pop house singer Poupie who sounds a bit like Rihanna, only way cooler and rawer.

4. Jonah – Deep Deep Blue

Deep Deep Blue is already the second major hit single this year from german singer Jonah and in my opinion is the perfect pop/indie summer hit. The incredibly catchy chorus immediately invites to sing along and feel the passion behind the song. This is the kind of song you want to sing when you get overwhelmed by that feeling of freedom and the beauty of this planet, watching the sunset at a lonesome beach in a tropical paradise. Good vibes only!

5. Tuka – My Star

The last song you definitely need to have in your July playlist comes from a sort of insider’s tip, the Australian rapper, king of relaxation and my former flatmate in Sydney, Tuka. With “My Star” Tuka throws out yet another real banger. Tune in and you will know what I mean immediately. There’s simply no way to not sum along to this tune which is probably my favorite chalet track at the moment because. Laid-back Hip-Hop with Tuka’s distinctively deep voice meets a Funky Alternative Pop chorus.
