Casual Luxury with Ami Paris Tracksuit and Trenchcoat
The track suit has made a fulminant comeback to the world of fashion, and Karl Lagerfeld will most likely not be happy about it. While for years everyone seemed to slowly but steadily agree with his theory, that wearing sweatpants suggests a loss of control over ones life, things look vastly different today.
From full on looks to the mix of track pants and zip jackets or hoodies with more elegant kind of styles, many renown designers have displayed track suit looks in their shows during recent fashion weeks. Thus, riding on the wave of the current 90ies as well as sports- ans urbanwear trend, the track suit sees sort of a renaissance at the moment.
However, just like with any other garment, it’s all about finding the right track suit. My favorite in this category comes from one of my favorite designers, Alexandre Matiussi – also known as Ami Paris. This dark green, shimmering track suit comes with a cool 90ies retro fit and some beautiful design details such as the circular zip puller, the black contrast stripe on arms and legs as well as the subtle ami logo.
While I’m sporting a full on track suit look with a trench coat, sneakers and cap the track pants as well as the zip jacket with the standing collar also loom fantastic integrated in other more classic outfits.
