we all know it. waking up on sundays, feeling like you’ve slept about 3 hours at most. maybe a little hangover taking the toll for the appreciation of the liquid gold. nothing useful to make out of such a day. nothing? not essentially. there’s no better cure for hangovers than a relaxed walk out in the fresh air. so today, exactly one of these sundays, me and my pals paul and luca decided to explore the awesomeness of stockholm’s young and slightly hipsterish-modern in-district södermalm.

more precisely we walked around in an area called sofa which is supposed to be famous for its variety on coffee-shops, bars and restaurants as well as tons of cool small shops. finally we ended up in this super comfy and nice coffee-shop called “gildas rum” and i have to say this place totally convinced me. with its young, friendly and comfortable atmosphere, extremely delicious, house-made cakes and a huge range of different sorts of tea for reasonable prices it is definitely one of my favorite places to have fika (like the swedes call coffee and cake) in stockholm. each of us treated himself with a huge cup of tea and the highly recommendable crumble pies with vanilla sauce.
if you’re either resistant to scandinavian cold or you’re in stockholm during the warmer time of the year you also have the opportunity to enjoy your fika outside
as you can see the rather small room generates a cosy living room atmosphere
also the furniture and decoration rounds up the just-like-home feeling

my recommendation is the apple-crumble-pie with vanilla sauce. insanely delicious!!!
