Socks & Sandals featuring Han Kjobenhavn x Teva Sandals and H&M Denim Twinsy

I admit I had my doubts on this summer’s revival of the  sandal, but then one of my favorite danish brands, Han Kjobenhavn came forward with a unique collaboration with sandal and outdoor manufacturer Teva. While Teva contributes the more functional, outdoor sort of side to the common project, Han Kjobenhavn adds innovative scandinavian design aesthetics. The outcome definitely speaks for itself although I understand it also polarizes to some extent. And although not too long ago it was considered an absolute no-go to sport white socks with sandals, in this case it actually looks freaking wicked and brings back those nineties old school vibes. However, special shoe game like this also demands a special outfit. Thus I decided to style the sandals with this cool denim twinsy from H&M. Clean lines, a boxy oversized fit make for a clean and minimalistic scandi look. Round off the outfit with a pair of chunky shades and futuristic backpack.

Watching a lot of Vikings recently, I call this look the “Northman on Vacation”. This is an outfit for the bold among you, but in fashion rules are only there to be broken and redefined, and it’s up to you whether you want to be among the pioneers, early adopters or followers.

Don’t forget to drop me a comment and let me know your view on this season’s comeback of the sandal!
