Last week I went on a little vacation to Tuscany with my girl Sophiehearts. While we stayed in a little agritourism on the countryside in the Chianti region, enjoying the calm and view on seemingly endless landscapes of hills covered with olive-trees, pines and cypresses, we also did several day/evening trips to surrounding cities and ancient little towns. The pictures for this post were taken in the old town of San Gimignano a charming little city in the heart of Tuscany which well deserves its status of being UNESCO world heritage. It’s location up on a hill together with several ancient towers soaring in its centre make it look a little bit like a huge castle. When walking through San Gimignano’s charming little alleys you can literally feel the history and tradition.

As you can imagine it’s quite hot in Tuscany during summer. Thus I decided to wear a simple, comfortable but still classy outfit dominated by white and blue tones. Like mentioned in previous posts a properly fitting plain white tee is an absolute essential not only for every summer wardrobe but also when traveling. Worn together with the striped shorts and a pair of white chucks this look comes with a strong nautical spirit. To posh up rather simple looks like this one I like adding striking details. In this regard, a nice pair of quality shades can work wonders. For the outfit on the pictures I decided to go with my champagne colored handmade Pacifico shades with blue lenses to keep a cool vision even on the hottest days.
