How to style a Onesie out on the streets

Despite its recently growing popularity the onesie still polarizes quite heavily. While most people would agree on onesies being great for a comfy afternoon on the couch, their perception in the world of street fashion as been quite ambiguous. Therefore together with the Norwegian onesie manufacturer ONEPIECE I wanted to show you how I think onesies can look cool when worn on the street.

For my onesie street style I picked the Air Jumpsuit by ONEPIECE, which is basically a military inspired onesie with cargo pockets on the outside of the leg and metal zippers on the front for a more refined, street-fit look (Shop HERE). Since this onesie comes with some heavy aviation flair I decided to style it with a puffy flight jacket. The Army boots fit the military-inspired style of the look perfectly and provide the look with a raw finish. For a day out in the city I figured to spice up the outfit with a clean weekender bag.

Summed up, I think, that if you pick a cool onesie model with fashionable details and style it the right way, the onesie is absolutely suitable for the street. Although it’s casual & comfy character remains undeniable it can look great in a sort of “From-the-couch-to-the-street-Look”, a style that is trending at the moment anyways.

However, most importantly, if you’re thinking to wear a onesie out on the street, wear it with confidence. Since onesies are still considered quite unusual for street attire they are destined to attract people’s attention on the street. Therefore it is crucial that you feel comfortable with your onesie street style to make it look cool.
