Five Timeless Essentials every Modern Man Needs to have in his Wardrobe

Since a lot of people are asking me for recommendations of timeless essentials they absolutely need to have in their wardrobe, I put together a compilation of five key styles every modern man should have in his wardrobe for fall.

1. Classic Biker Jacket

The biker jacket has been accompanying me through live for many years now. It adds a rocky and edgy vibe to my outfits. Through its versatility it’s one of my most worn styles. The classic black biker jacket is one of these timeless essentials that look great with both classy and casual styles and it always gives you a bit of a rockstar feeling.

2. White Oxford Shirt:

At one point everyone needs a white Oxford Shirt. Whether you’re going on a date, off to a formal occasion, studying at uni or just out for a casual day in the city, the white Oxford shirt always gives your style the necessary class. Personally, with timeless essentials like this one, I always put quality over quantity. Consider spending a little more on a nice , well-fitting, quality-cotton shirt instead. They last longer, look better and offer a much more comfortable feel on your skin.

3. Knitted Sweater

Particularly for the colder time of the year you might also want to think about getting a plain and simple knitted sweater to keep you warm. Wear it over a shirt for a more elegant attire or casually wear it over a tee, for a comfortable leisure fit.

4. Black Jeans

Apart from the iconic blue jeans, I think everyone should have at least one pair of black denim. Their color makes them even more versatile than it’s indigo-blue counterpart and therefore also suitable for more occasions requiring a slightly more formal attire.

5. Army Boots

Almost everybody owns a pair of boots. As for myself, I’m a big fan of raw and chunky Army Boots. Despite their raw military silhouette, they can look extremely neat if you style them the right way. Don’t forget to roll up the legs of your pants to emphasize the form of the boots and exploit their full potential

I boutght the boots you see on the pictures at ALLSAINTS about two years ago. Two winters later, they still remain in a perfect condition, although I’ve been wearing them regularly. That’s the kind of quality that turns basics into timeless essentials.
