I still remember when I was a little child, about 25 years ago, when my father and I walked past our local watchmaker and my dad drew my attention towards that strikingly elegant chronograph right in the middle of that shop window as he told me, one day he was going to get one of these beauties. That watch was a Breitling Navitimer and it was was that very moment, the wish of having one of these stylish timepieces on my wrist one day too was incepted, a wish that should take me about 25 years to realize. Today I still look down at my Navitimer 1 with the same admiration. I admire it’s flawless design defined by a perfect mixture of elegance and sportiness, I feel the weight of the movement and value the mechanical finesse that went into creating a timepiece like this and I here the metronomically precise ticking of the watch, that always reminds me of the worth of time.
