spreading awesomeness in moscow – part 1

hey folks

like i mentioned earlier last weekend i went to moscow to visit my girl. besides a wonderful reunion and an amazing time with the lady going right to the stomache of the sleeping giant was also kind of an adventure for me. but see for yourself. so here’s part one of mission “spreading awesomeness in russia”…

finally reunited we started our first day with some couple elevator happiness...

...we then continued our walk down the old arbat pedestrian area and somehow ended up having lunch in the 1960s russia...

...after lunch i got a how-to-pretend-to-be-russian crash course. i learned some basic russian phrases - i think they mean something like

...with our stomaches filled with beef stroganoff and borsch we then headed on to the city center to visit the red square...

...apparently also kung-fu panda met up with a couple of friends in moscow that weekend...

...again i tried to gain some luck by throwing money over my shoulder in front of the kremlin...well i guess good luck is priceless...

...finally we arrived at the red square where we were stunned by the beauty of the st. basil's cathedral...

...i then proceeded to teach my russian fans the art of awesome. i was even able to gain the police's attention.  i guess some more art-of-awesome-lessons could do no harm there...

...after we finished our tourist  program for the day we went to the gum, a luxury shopping center located on the red square where we were told a lesson in decadence...

...tired from all the walking we went to a coffee shop at the gum mall where i had my surprisingly well tasting first russian tea for only 11 euro...

...also i ordered a little piece of home in the form of a rather tiny apple strudel. it wasn't as good as back in vienna but at least it costed over 10 euro :)...

...finally after an exciting and unfortunately way too short day we decided head back to our hotel to spend some quality time together.
