The 6th Floor Yeezy Boost 350 Raffle
As the first drop of the new year, Adidas restocked the Yeezy Boost 350 “Pirate Black” colorway, which sold out in an instant when it was first came out last August. In Vienna a very limited number of pairs was released through The 6th Floor Sneaker Gallery, located over the roofs of Vienna’s beautiful historical center in the famous high-end department store Steffl. Overwhelmed with the massive hype around the Yeezy release the lovely lads over at The 6th Floor came forward with a creative and fun way to choose 46 lucky winners who then got to buy a pair of these awesome kicks. In The 6th Floor Yeezy Boost 350 Raffle participants had to draw their own version of Yeezy Boosts. However, irregardless of the submissions creativity or talent there was only one decisive factor in this raffle and that was… *drumroll*… ME. Correcto amigos. I was selected by The 6th Floor to do the “dirty work” and draw the few lucky ones out of a bowl of more than 500 hopeful participants. Believe me, if it were up to me I would’ve given every single one of you a pair, but obviously that was not possible. So to everyone who won a pair: congratulations folks and welcome to Team Yeezy! To everyone who didn’t: I’m sorry and do hope you’re not mad at me or The 6th Floor. We really tried everything to make this as fair as possible. Take a deep breath and keep in mind this is NOT going to be the last drop of Yeezys and there’s certainly going to be a new The 6th Floor Yeezy Raffle. Als ersten Yeezy-Release des Jahres hat Adidas letzte Woche den Yeezy Boost 350 in “Pirate Black” neuveröffentlicht, nachdem dieser bei der Erstveröffentlichung letzten August augenblicklich ausverkauft war. In Wien wurde eine sehr begrenzte Anzahl an Paaren durch die über den Dächern von Wiens historischem Zentrum im berühmten Steffl Einkaufszentrum gelegene The 6th Floor Sneaker Gallery veröffentlicht. Aufgrund der überwältigenden Anfrage schon vorab, haben sich die lieben Leute von The 6th Floor dieses mal etwas ganz besonders kreatives und lustiges überlegt. In einer Verlosung, dem The 6th Floor Yeezy Boost 350 Raffle mussten alle Teilnehmer eine Zeichnung ihrer eigenen Yeezy Boost Kreation übermitteln. Jedoch ging es dabei weder um besonderes Talent noch kreative Begabung der Sneakerbegeisterten. Vielmehr gab es nur einen einzigen entscheidenden und ausschlaggebenden Faktor, der über Yeezy or No Yeezy entschied und der war…*Trommelwirbel* ICH. 🙂 The 6th Floor wählte nämlich mich aus, um für sie die sozusagen “Dirty Work” zu erledigen und 46 glückliche Gewinner aus einem Pott von hoffnungsvollen Teilnehmern zu ziehen. Glaubt mir, wenns nach mir ginge, hättet ihr alle ein Paar haben können, aber das ging sich ja bekanntlich zahlenmäßig nicht ganz aus (Beschwerden dafür bitte an Herrn West persönlich). Also an alle Gewinner: herzlichen Glückwunsch und willkommen im Team-Yeezy. An alle die diesmal kein Glück hatten: Ein fettes Sorry, dass euch mein Händchen nicht zum Erfolg verholfen hat. Gemeinsam mit The 6th Floor haben wir wirklich alles erdenliche versucht, um die Verlosung so fair wie möglich zu gestalten. Also nicht verzweifeln, war ja mit Sicherheit nicht der letzte Yeezy-Release. Unten hab ich euch die besten Bilder und Emotionen der Veröffentlichung letzten Freitag zusammengestellt.
